Our story

I still remember the first time we exhibited at Feria Hábitat. It was the last day of setup, and my father and I were assembling everything until four in the morning—full of excitement for what we would present the next day: our first collection. We didn’t have many resources, but we had determination and hard work to earn our place among big companies.

Today I look back and all the effort put into the business—nights in front of the computer and countless trade fairs—now feels like good memories, even though there were moments when it didn’t. In the end, I realize that running a business isn’t so different from living your life: good and bad moments, but ones that ultimately are worth it.

There is something that captivates me even more than creating products that improve our customers’ homes: meeting the people and partners who make Unika a family. If I take one thing from these years, it’s learning from the hundreds of people I’ve met along the way—people who helped shape Unika’s values: quality, design, and continuous improvement.

My grandmother and my father did the hard and essential work of building something from nothing. And as I work alongside my partner, my father, and perhaps one day my sister, I realize what matters most at Unika: family. I feel fortunate to have the freedom to create unique pieces. I hope to keep adding value and improving life at home for our customers. We keep going.
